Department: Accounting, Economics, & Finance

Summary of Job Duties:
The Instructor in Accounting is responsible for teaching required courses in the Accounting program, providing service to the department, school, and university as well as outreach and service to the business community. This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency and institution policy.

Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
• Graduate degree in Accounting or related Business field (eg, MBA or J.D.);
• Appropriate professional designation(s);
• Significant professional experience supporting teaching assignments.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
• Teaching experience is desirable.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach required courses per semester (fall and spring), of which 2 to 3 may be different courses; classes take place in the mornings, at night (1 night/week), and/or online. During the summers (subject to funding, department's needs, and availability) all full-time faculty members, including Instructors, may teach an additional two courses for 15% of their 9-month salary, over a 5-week period of time;
• Serve on University, College, and Department committees;
• Engage with regional business community;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to teach online and in-person.


Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience
