We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team at a relationship-focused community bank. This role offers the opportunity to apply your accounting education while gaining hands-on experience across the financial operations of a regulated banking environment.
Unlike highly specialized roles at larger institutions, this position provides broad exposure to bank accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes — allowing you to see how your work directly supports decision-making and the success of the organization.

What You’ll Do
✔ Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
✔ Perform and analyze account reconciliations and resolve variances
✔ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
✔ Support preparation of internal financial reports and management reporting
✔ Participate in accounting for loans, deposits, investments, and payment activities
✔ Prepare schedules supporting regulatory reporting and audits
✔ Collaborate with operations, lending, and finance teams across the Bank

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or currently pursuing an Accounting degree with expected completion in the near term

Biomedical Research Foundation is recruiting a part-time Executive Assistant. This Executive Assistant will assist the Executive Director with this non-profit research organization collaborating with the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) in the mission of management of cutting-edge research studies. Duty station is at CAVHS’ little Rock campus and incumbent will be required to pass employment assessment by CAVHS. Duties are primarily administrative/accounting but do offer an opportunity of being a part a team working to provide new innovations for vaccinations, new medicines, and better disease management tools. The position is part-time (average 12 hours per week) with some hours working remotely. Hourly salary is negotiable and will be based on professional experience and education. Benefits of earning annual and sick leave, flexible salary, and simple IRA with 3% matching contributions.
Duties include:
· Accounting entries and reconciliations (QuickBooks)
· Check writing and distribution
· Coordination of bank deposits
· Reports preparation including Federal forms completion
· Creation of timesheets and other spreadsheets (EXCEL)
· Management/reconciling of leave and payroll
· Attendance at Board meetings and composition of minutes (WORD)
· Assistance with annual audits (GAAP)
· Paper/electronic records management and documentation.
· Managing correspondence (Outlook, memos, letters)
Qualifications:
· Required: Background and experience in accounting of at least 3 years with emphasis on electronic accounting systems. Must be proficient with spreadsheet and word applications.
· Preferred: 5 years’ experience in accounting with business accounting and government accounting.
Knowledge, abilities, education:
· Required: Must have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and application ability for accounting entries and auditing purposes; Must be proficient with Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
· Preferred: Accounting degree or business degree with emphasis on accounting, Knowledge of federal government rules and regulations and experience and ability to interpret/apply

Hendrix College invites applications for a three-year visiting position in the area of Accounting within the Economics and Business Department to begin in August 2026. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. Primary teaching duties will include introductory and upper level accounting courses in our undergraduate and Master of Arts in Accounting programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach in at least two of the following areas: financial accounting, managerial/cost accounting, tax, auditing, governmental/non-profit accounting, accounting information systems, and general business topics (such as business strategy or management). The normal teaching load is three courses per semester. Applicants with at least a master’s degree, a CPA certificate, and appropriate work experience will be considered.
