To review complaints made against Society members of alleged violations of professional conduct under the bylaws and rules of professional conduct of the ARCPA and initiate investigations through the AICPA Joint Ethics Enforcement Program (JEEP).
To act as the Society's liaison in JEEP investigations of ARCPA members and to serve as the concurring body for ARCPA.
To reply to inquiries and assist members and others in the interpretation of the Code of Professional Conduct.
To consider and initiate changes in ARCPA's rules of professional conduct and report recommendations to the Society's Board of Directors.
To disseminate information and sponsor discussions of ethical issues at Society meetings and in chapter meetings.
To review exposure drafts and rulings issued by the AICPA in matters pertaining to professional conduct and, if a response is appropriate, will promptly respond after discussing the response with the ARCPA Executive Committee.
To promote or sponsor activities that will enhance the recognition and understanding of the ethical standards of the profession, to both the membership and the public.
